1、 上车迎宾
以问界M7为例：上车时，氛围灯将亮起以示迎宾。车辆每次上电后，各位置仅呈现一次迎宾灯效。
2、提示车辆状态
由于电动汽车有着出色的静谧性，不像传统燃油车会有明显的发动机声音，通过智能氛围灯可向驾驶者发出信号，表明驱动系统启动、车辆解锁或锁定等功能。这样的话可以提醒驾驶者车辆目前的状态，避免更多的重复操作或误操作。

3、 智慧语音
智慧语音：语音对话时，对应唤醒位置（如 主驾）会根据智慧语音的状态，呈现不同的 氛围灯灯效。
4、 开门预警
开门预警（Door Open Warning，简称为 DOW）功能通过后角毫米波雷达工作，用于探 测车辆侧方及侧后方的目标物（轿车、货车、 自行车、行人等）。功能简介 ;当车辆在停车或低速（车速≤5km/h）时， 有车辆（自行车、摩托车、汽车等）或行人 从后面接近车辆并进入报警区域，如果四门 都已关闭，则车外后视镜上的报警灯和车辆 氛围灯（红色）点亮来提醒驾乘人员。

如果此时驾驶员或乘员打开相应侧的车门， 则相应侧车外后视镜上的报警灯点亮和车辆，氛围灯（红色）闪烁，同时蜂鸣器发出声音 报警，提醒驾驶员或乘员有碰撞危险。
除了问界M7,很多车型上也都有这个功能，比如说比亚迪的唐、汉系列都有。
5、 整合ADAS，行车中危险预警
奔驰的S级轿车（包括EQS）的氛围灯被称之为主动式氛围照明，它结合智能驾驶辅助系统，可在转向或检测到危险时，予以红色环境光提示。
这一氛围灯功能，在大众ID.LIGHT智能交互呼吸灯上也有实现。大众的ID.LIGHT智能交互呼吸灯会突出显示驾驶辅助系统和导航系统的信息，同时进行来电提醒以及紧急制动的警示，可以让驾驶者更好的了解这些系统工作的情况。
6、 为驾驶者提供交通信息
在使用导航系统时，ID.LIGHT智能交互呼吸灯还会顺畅地为驾驶者提供交通信息：如如利用蓝色流水灯效提醒驾驶员转向，避免导航时错过正确的路口，就好像在你的副驾驶席坐着一位驾校教练或者老司机一样，为你提供一些必要的提醒，保证行车安全。
7、与其他娱乐功能联动
AITO问界M7的科技座舱可联动氛围灯支持KTV麦克风、游戏手柄等设备。比如说可以将智能氛围灯切换至音乐律动模式，获得更好体验。
