Tiguan L Pro equipped with IQ. Pilot is launched, opening a new era of high-end intelligent driving for fuel vehicles

On May 30, the "super smart gasoline car" Tiguan L Pro was officially launched at a press conference in Chengdu, with a suggested retail price of 236,800 to 266,800 yuan. It also introduced benefits such as limited-time exemption of purchase tax, 20% off for value preservation and renewal within 3 years, 3 years of worry-free maintenance, and limited gift of optional packages.

The Tiguan L Pro is equipped with the IQ. Pilot intelligent assisted driving system developed by Volkswagen and DJI, which can realize high-level driving assistance functions in the full speed range of 0~130km/h. The advanced adaptive cruise control Pro version of the Tiguan L Pro supports the vehicle to automatically follow the vehicle in front within 360 seconds; the lane keeping system Pro version can handle curves with a curvature radius of more than 75m, which can cover most of the curve scenes in China; in addition, the Tiguan L Pro has intelligent lever lane change and intelligent obstacle avoidance functions, and can also easily deal with lane changes.

IQ. Pilot is DJI’s longest vehicle development project. In the six years since 2018, DJI has developed in-vehicle systems in accordance with Volkswagen’s strict standards, not only ensuring German quality on IQ.Pilot products, but also establishing a complete system in the process. At the press conference, DJI vehicle head Shen Shaojie said that IQ.Pilot may be the most stringent mass-produced intelligent driving system with the most stringent quality standards to date.

IQ.Pilot is the first complete high-level intelligent driving product in China to obtain functional safety product certification (further reading: "DJI Car Intelligent Driving Software and Hardware System Passes ISO 26262 Product Certification"). Together with Volkswagen, DJI Car has started from the highest safety level of ASIL-D vehicle safety goals, and decomposed and implemented the goals into inertial navigation binocular sensors, intelligent driving controllers, and algorithms and software running on them. DJI Car has thus become the first Tier 1 supplier of intelligent driving systems in China to obtain functional safety product certification for a complete high-level intelligent driving system (including application layer algorithm software, middleware, BSP&OS, underlying software and hardware, etc.).

At the press conference, SAIC Volkswagen stated that the Tiguan L Pro will break the inherent perception that "oil vehicles are not smart" with its new experience of "oil and electricity with intelligence", and lead the "intelligent" era of oil vehicles.
